Mayo Clinic
I am in a 45 min. wait until we can go to the Xray desk to check in and wait again for an opening to get in earlier than our scheduled appt. He will have his sinus' Xrayed as well as flushed and medicated. This may help his sense of smell. This will help to relieve tomorrow's schedule which is very tight as well as having the surgical biopsy followed by another appt. It may or may not work as Dad will have to keep his leg elevated for two weeks after the procedure. We have heard that there is bad weather looming, but I don't know when. We are still hoping to be able to start home on Sat., but will just take it a day at a time. We still have to have a consultation about the heart tests which took so long, and a consultation with the general physician who will pull it all together hopefully. The ENT Dr. has a daughter and son-in-law who used to work at York. Small world! We attended Wed. Bible class and met Stacy Sikes and Boots Young. Stacy is a chaplin at Mayo, and Boots has run the House of Compassion for 22 yrs. She is a remarkable lady - sweet, upbeat, with a ready smile. I know this is disjointed, but we are doing well under the circumstances.
